This Friday, the UK and the US will square off against each other for the right to boast being the home to the World’s Ugliest Dog.
The World's Ugliest Dog Contest has been held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma,Californiafor the last 24 years, but this year is the first time a British contender is in the mix.
Californianative Icky, and British born Mugly, currently have the most votes in the World’s Ugliest Dog online voting gallery.
Both contenders received a boost from the death of the reigning champion Yoda, who passed away in March at the age of 15.
