The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

I'm a big Wes Anderson fan and even though I haven't had time to see his newest movie Moonlight Kingdom yet, I'm hearing amazing things about it from friends who have seen it.
I was actually surprised to hear some of my friends recently say they also love Wes Anderson but when I asked them which of his movies they liked, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums and Fantastic Mr. Fox all got named but there was no mention of my absolute favorite Wes Anderson movie: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
It made me wonder, has this amazing movie escaped a lot of people? It came out on Christmas Day in 2004 at the same time as The Aviator and Meet the Fockers so perhaps it was just overlooked. Either way, I think it's Wes Anderson's best movie
yet and it's so worth the rental.
Starring Bill Murray (in one of his funniest roles ever), Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett, Anjelica Huston and the always fabulous Jeff Goldblum, it's the story of a down-on-his-luck sea explorer trying to hunt down a fabled shark who ate his best friend.
In a word, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is brilliant!
