Victoria’s Favorite Finds

I love to listen to music throughout my day, and especially when I'm in the kitchen cooking. I decided that my cooking playlist needed some updating so I set out on a hunt to find some new tunes to inspire me in the kitchen. I prefer music that's more on the mellow side when I cook so I can concentrate on the recipes and feel relaxed.

I was surfing through the tv channels one night and landed on Palladia which has been a favorite of mine for years. One of the reasons I love it is because it's like the final frontier for seeing actual music videos these days.

One of the music videos that came on that particular day was by Icelandic group
Of Monsters and Men. After winning a nationwide battle-of-the-bands in Iceland in 2010 they released their debut album called My Head Is An Animal in April of this year.

Part Arcade Fire, part Sigur Ros and with just a touch of Bjork from her Sugarcubes days, Of Monsters and Men are great new addition to my playlist.
