"Cake Boss Cafe" Sweetens the Port Authority Bus Terminal

Something sweet is about to happen to the otherwise dismal Port Authority Bus Terminal.
The Hoboken-based Carlo's Bake Shop rose to fame on the TLC reality show "Cake Boss," and will now open an offshoot bakery in the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
The 2,774 square foot “Cake Boss Cafe” will take up space on the busy bus terminal’s ground floor. The $4.3 million deal is good for three and a half years and requires the “Cake Boss Cafe” to spend $2 million on upgrades to the store.
Buddy Valastro’s Hoboken, New Jersey store has become a tourist attraction and draws lines that stretch around the block on most days. Port Authority expects this location to draw similar crowds to the north wing of the bus terminal from residents, workers, and tourists alike.
