Jennifer Granholm 'Cute and Curvaceous' in 1978 Video Clip

9/14/2012

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images(DETROIT) -- One thing aspiring politicians worry about is their past. The Detroit Free Press dug up a clip from an old television show that came back to haunt one Michigan politician -- in a friendly way.

In her fiery speech at the Democratic National Convention, former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm showed she is no shrinking violet. Nor was she in 1978 when the 19-year-old future politician was introduced as a contestant on The Dating Game as “cute and curvaceous."

Her political instincts came through when asked to pick a winning bachelor: “They were all really nice. I know everyone says that but they really were.”

After watching the long lost clip, Granholm said she laughed so hard her stomach still hurts.
